The President of India, Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, presented the 'Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award' to our Chairman, Mr. S.P.Lohia, on 9th January 2012 at a function held in Jaipur, India.
'Pravasi Bharatiya Samman' is the highest award conferred by the Indian Government on Non-resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), for their outstanding contribution in serving the Indian diaspora and enhancing India's image in different parts of the world.
The President, while giving the valedictory speech, said, "The Indian overseas community is not only large, but is also becoming increasingly influential in the economic, professional and political fields of the country, in which they are now living. We are proud of their accomplishments.
